WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - Perhaps a shower would have been more effective for one White Plains man caught grabbing $637 in cologne, according to police.
Sears' loss prevention staff told officers Vincent Haynesworth, 47, stuffed seven boxes of cologne in the front and inner pockets of his maroon jacket. He was stopped while walking out of the Galleria store with $403 in stolen fragrances Monday, according to police reports.
Employees informed police that Haynesworth was previously seen stealing five bottles of cologne valued at $234, records showed.
Officers arrested Haynesworth and charged him with two counts of misdemeanor petty larceny in connection with the two scent-swiping sprees.
